The Rambam says: 'When a person contemplates... they love.' Notice the order. It doesn't say: you feel → you understand. It says: you understand → you love.

The shift that changes everything: give to love

The root of ahavah — the Hebrew word for love — is etymologically linked to giving. The Sefat Emet says clearly: 'Through action, love awakens.'
